Dr. Sarah Ryan grew up in Ozark, Missouri, and her love of horses began at a very young age.  Dr. Ryan's parents arranged riding lessons for her birthday growing up then surprised her with her first horse at the age of 10.  Dr. Ryan started her performance career barrel racing and pole bending but now enjoys competing in reining and ranch horse events.  As an avid rider and competitor herself, Dr. Ryan know what it takes to own and maintain a healthy, competitive horse.  She is looking forward to helping others in the area do the same for their horses!

Dr. Ryan obtained a Bachelor's in Animal Science from Missouri State University  in 2016 and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.  After graduation, Dr. Ryan completed an internship at Durango Equine Veterinary Clinic in Buckeye, Arizona where she learned and practiced advanced reproductive techniques and ambulatory medicine.  Upon completion of the internship, Dr. Ryan moved back to SW Missouri and practiced at a mixed animal clinic prior to starting Circle R Equine, LLC in 2023.  

Dr. Ryan recently attended the Options for Animals chiropractic course in Wellsville, Kansas and became certified with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) in 2023.  Dr. Ryan is very excited to offer chiropractic and specialized dental services to horses in Missouri, especially in her hometown of SW Missouri. 

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Ryan enjoys competing on her horse Rookie and spending time with family, friends, and border collies Sadie and Margo.
